Hi @mikestn,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've forgotten the Wi-Fi password for your HP LaserJet Pro M102w, here’s how you can reset it or find the default password:
1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings:
Resetting the printer will return it to factory settings, which includes resetting the Wi-Fi settings. Here’s how to do it:
- Power on the printer.
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking. This will reset the network settings.
2. Reconfigure the Wi-Fi Connection:
After resetting, you’ll need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network:
Use the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
- Open the app and follow the prompts to add your printer and connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
Use WPS (if your router supports it):
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Then press the Wireless button on your printer to connect automatically.
3. Access Default Settings:
If your router has a default Wi-Fi password, you can usually find it on a sticker located on the router itself.
4. Check Router Settings:
If you can access your router's settings:
- Connect to your network via a computer.
- Enter the router’s IP address in your web browser (often something like 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1).
- Log in with your router credentials (default username and password are usually found on the router).
- Navigate to the wireless settings to find or change the Wi-Fi password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
