The wireless icon on my printer disappeared. The only option I now get is to connect via ethernet cord. I had been successfully printing wirelessly for a couple months. Now I can no longer print wirelessly. I've tried powering it off, unplugging, resetting to factory defaults and none of those have resolved my issue.
I've only had the printer for a couple months and this is so disappointing because I do not have a home set-up that allows to have the printer directly connected via a cord or cable.

Hi,
Is the Ethernet code currently connected? be aware that plugging an Ethernet code disables the wireless capabilities of the printer.
Also, please let me know your operating system and what exact cables are connected to the printer, to better understand how to guide you further on resolving the problem.

I have this same problem. When I go to network settings a prompt comes up saying No ethernet cable detected. It doesn't even give me an option to connect to wifi anymore. Mine is a 9010, almost the same as 9015. Only had it a few months and had been working great.

My HP 9018 is having the exact same issue. I have only ever used it wirelessly and suddenly the wireless light on the printer is off and the wireless icon no longer appears anywhere on the control panel. I get a message telling me that my ethernet is not connected (I do not want to use this printer via ethernet). No way to even get to the wireless settings. HP Smart can't find the printer. I am dead in the water. Help please!
