HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
macOS 12.0 Monterey

iMac running macOS 13.6 (Ventura) connecting wirelessly to the OfficeJet 9025e.

Prior to installing an Instant Ink cart. I could print without any problems.

Having installed 1 Instant Ink cartridge (other 3 are low and bought by me), every time I send a print job I hear the error ding with this error. I must then goto the printer, tap OK and the printing proceeds. Yet, the blue light is ON, Mac and printer are on same network

If this continues, I am cancelling the free trial as I can't be continuously tapping OK to get a printout.

Hi @Frankmtl,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

If you are enrolled in the instant ink service, you will have to either use all the ink cartridges which are bought from store or all the ink cartridges have to be instant ink for the printer to work.

Also, update the printer firmware by clicking on this link.

Thanks, Irwin, that did the trick.

Perhaps they should change information to say that all Instant Ink carts must be installed for proper internet connectivity with HP servers. As is now, one gets an email asking to replace the empty carts with no statemeni indicating it may cause the above problem.

Cheers.
