Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I've tried everything to get my printer to connect to our new Wifi network, but nothing is working (re-started everything, went through all of the troubleshooting pages/steps). I have also tried setting it up via a USB cable but that also is not working. I downloaded the HP smart app and tried setting it up via USB and wireless, but nothing works. I also can't find a contact email or phone to call HP, and the virtual assistant is not helping. Please help!

I have similar / same problem and have posted detailed issue description separately. I have a LaserJet M175nw that worked perfectly fine for years - until sometime in January - wireless printing stopped working. I have reset, reconfigured over and over again hoping something would click. Was blaming on my wifi network for a bit but tried to connect it to a hotspot and had the same issue. Very disappointed in HPs lack of support and hate to think that I need to buy a new printer because this one just won’t connect to my WiFi network after years of mostly flawless performance.

So frustrating! So you haven't been able to get yours to work either?

After a lot of frustrating hours I finally got the printer to work again (specifically the HP LaserJet color MFP 175nw). The unfortunate fact is that HP provides little in the way of feedback to tell you what is failing, but after a lot of experimenting, was able to finally learn that the printer was not authenticating with my home network (UniFi controller and access points). I had upgraded my UniFi hardware controller and controller firmware. Apparently the UniFi upgrade defaulted to a setting that prevented this printer from being able to authenticate and connect to wireless network (unlike 50+ other devices that continue to work fine on my home network.

The setting was "Enable legacy device support (i.e. 11b)" - that was it. Enabled this option and problem solved. Hours upon hours wasted but now I don't need to buy a new (non HP) printer. Whew - what a waste of time. Better feedback from HP software sure would have helped. Another option that was suggested in a UniFi forum was "L2 Isolation" and I tried that option first but it had no affect on the printer authenticating / connecting to network.

I got a laptop for Christmas and it will not connect to the wifi at all, the network shows up and I put  One Vanilla the thing in but it says “can not connect to network” I don’t know if this is a stupid question but does anyone have any tips?
