Laserjet Pro M118dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a Laserjet Pro M118dw, that sits near to one of my Sonos Play:1 speakers, and has been identified as the cause of some issues I was having with that speaker from WiFi interference.

The question is whether the WiFi direct broadcast can be turned off but still connect the printer to the WiFi network? I never use the direct connection, just print via the house WiFi network.

Cheers

Hi,

You may turn off Wi-Fi Direct from the EWS page of the printer, but be aware that if the wireless radio would still be on for the printer the wireless signals, you may follow page 46 of its user guide to disable Wi-Fi Direct:

If you experience further issues, I suggest trying to change the channel usage of your router, or to move the devices away if the wireless keeps interfering.

Hi

Thanks for the reply

In the end I opted to wire the printer via ethernet, and turn the WiFi off completely - although I was fortunate that I was able to.

Thanks again, please feel free to delete this thread I'm sure it's not going to be much help to most people.
