Hi Team,

The Printer Laser Jet Ink HP7C4D8F782BC5 (HP Laser MFP 1136-1139-1188) does not print with Wifi settings.

We have been using only the office Wifi connection to print but it shows the printer offline.

Instead if we connect it with USB it does print well.

Kindly help us resolve the Wifi print settings at the earliest.

Regards,

Shruti

Hi @Shruti24,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing wifi connectivity issues, and I totally feel your pain. Let us both work together to try and resolve this issue.

1. Restart Devices

  • Turn off the printer, router, and computer (or mobile device).
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then turn them back on.

2. Check Printer Connection

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • On the printer’s control panel, check the Wireless light:
    • Solid blue: Printer is connected.
    • Blinking or off: Printer is not connected to Wi-Fi.

3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Use HP Smart App or Embedded Web Server (EWS) to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.
  • Alternatively, follow these steps:
    • Press the Menu button on the control panel.
    • Select Network > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Default > Restore...Reconnect using HP Smart App.

4. Check Network Connection

  • Make sure your Wi-Fi is stable and not on a guest network or VPN.
  • Move the printer closer to the router for a stronger signal.
  • Restart the router if needed.

5. Set Printer to Online

  • On your computer:
    • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Right-click on your HP printer and select "See what’s printing".
    • Click Printer in the top menu and uncheck "Use Printer Offline".

6. Update Printer Drivers

  • Download and install the latest HP printer drivers from HP Support.

7. Reinstall the Printer

  • Remove the printer from your computer:
    • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers and delete the printer.
  • Re-add the printer via Wi-Fi using HP Smart App or "Add a Printer" in Windows settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
