Hi @Pepeillo

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, It sounds like you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP Photosmart 7510 printer after it enters standby mode, particularly with it disconnecting from Wi-Fi. This can be frustrating, especially when you’re using MacOS and iOS devices to print.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve this issue:

1. Check the Printer's Wi-Fi Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network and select Wireless Setup Wizard. Follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
  • If your network uses a dual-band Wi-Fi router (both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands), try connecting the printer to the 2.4 GHz band. Many printers perform more reliably on this band.

2. Update Printer Firmware : click here

3. Disable Wi-Fi Power Saving Settings

  • Go to the printer’s settings and look for options under Network or Wi-Fi Settings.
  • Disable any options related to Wi-Fi power saving or auto-disconnect.

4. Reconfigure the Printer on Your Mac

  • Remove the printer from your Mac’s Printer & Scanner settings:
    • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select the HP Photosmart 7510 and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Re-add the printer:
    • Click the plus (+) button, select your printer from the list, and reinstall it.
  • Check the Print Queue to make sure it's connected and functional.

5. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  • Sometimes resetting the printer’s network settings can resolve persistent Wi-Fi issues:
    • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network and select Restore Network Defaults.
    • This will reset the printer's network settings, and you’ll need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network again using the Wireless Setup Wizard.

6. Adjust Router Settings

  • Router Restart: If your router has had a long uptime, it may be causing issues with devices connecting to it after the printer enters standby. Try restarting your router.
  • Static IP: Assign a static IP address to the printer. This can help with maintaining a consistent connection, as dynamic IP addresses can sometimes change and cause issues after standby:
    • Login to your router’s admin page and assign a static IP to the printer based on its MAC address (found in the printer’s network settings).

7. Check iPhone Connectivity

  • Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. This is crucial for AirPrint to work properly.
  • Forget and reconnect to the network: On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the network you’re connected to, and select Forget This Network. Then reconnect to it.

8. Test with Different Devices

  • Try printing from another device (such as a MacBook or another iPhone) to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or specifically with your iPhone or Mac.

9. Use HP Smart App for Mac or iPhone

10. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults (if needed)

  • Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
