Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

M282nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have installed my new M282nw printer and everything works well. Its connected to the wifi and everyone can print. However, every morning the printer has lost wifi and I have to connect it to the network again. It seems like when the printer enters sleep mode it disconnects from the network. Any suggestions? Before people suggest it: No issues with the UNifi network infrastructure and the AP is 2 meters away from the printer.

Thanks!

Hi, we have the same problem, only it does not keep the connection for a whole day, but disconnects sometimes just after a few minutes. A printer restart usually brings it online again, but now and then we have to go through setup to connect it again.

I found this which summons the probably quite exact: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c05085441

Unfortunately the M282NW is not in the list of affected models, so the solution with firmware update had no effect.

I suspect it is the same issue though, and in that case our model must be added to this list, and firmware must be fixed.

Its actually so bad that its impossible to use this printer with Wifi. We will return all of them unfortunately
