Hi @Nis9,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating a stubborn Wi‑Fi setup can be. I’ve helped many customers through this, and I’m here to guide you through calm, clear steps so you can get back to printing in your new home.

1. Restore Wi‑Fi Setup Mode on Your HP Printer

This clears any old Wi‑Fi settings and lets your printer “announce” itself again for a fresh setup.

For HP Envy, DeskJet, OfficeJet, and similar inkjet models without a touchscreen:

  1. Power the printer on and wait for it to idle.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (may show as Wi‑Fi symbol, often on the back) for 5 seconds until the light starts blinking blue or purple.
  3. The printer is now in Wi‑Fi Setup Mode, active for about 2 hours, ready to reconnect.

2. Connect via the HP App (Recommended)

Using the latest HP app on your phone or PC is the simplest route.

  1. Download/update HP App from HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Open the app, sign in, and tap “Add Printer” or the “+” icon.
  3. Select the printer once it appears.
  4. Choose your new Wi‑Fi network, enter the password, and follow prompts.
  5. The blinking Wi‑Fi light should settle to solid, showing a successful connection.

3. Alternative: Use the Wireless Setup Wizard

If the app doesn’t work for you, try this:

  • Touchscreen models: Navigate Wireless → Network Setup → Wireless Setup Wizard, select your network, and enter the password.
  • Non‑touch models
    1. On your PC/mobile, connect to the temporary network HP-Setup…
    2. Open a browser to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
    3. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard from there, selecting your Wi‑Fi and entering credentials.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
