Hi @CanDulger,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer won’t connect to Wi-Fi, especially when you're trying to print something important. Let’s go through a few steps to resolve the issue together.

  • Have you recently changed your Wi-Fi network name or password?
  • Is your printer’s Wi-Fi light blinking, solid, or off?
  • Have you tried connecting the printer to another device to see if the issue is specific to your Android phone?
  • Also check the compatibility issues with your current OS is supported.

Let's try these steps.

Restart Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source for 30 seconds.
  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and try connecting again once both devices are powered back on.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on your printer for 5 seconds until the power light flashes.
  • Open the HP Smart app on your Android phone and follow the prompts to reconnect the printer.

Check Wi-Fi Network Band:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is set to 2.4 GHz, as many HP printers do not support 5 GHz networks.
  • You can check this in your router settings or ask your internet provider for assistance.

Forget and Re-add Printer in HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app, remove the printer from the app, and then re-add it by following the on-screen instructions.
  • Make sure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • If the issue persists, perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the Wireless and Power buttons for about 10 seconds until the printer restarts.
  • After the reset, set up the printer again using the HP Smart app.
