Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scan Doctor and Smart Utility find HP Envy 5000 printer and say all is well.  Try to add to my HP PC, requests PIN, enter PIN, connection fails.  HELP!

I fixed it!  Download the HP Smart App (not to be confused with HP Smart Friend) ----> Click on Print Documents ----->  The HP Smart App found the Printer which said "Ready" and asked if I wanted to install the Printer ----> click Yes and Voila! It worked.  See another thread to get the HP Smart App icon on your desktop (not easy), scroll down to the correct answer which involves going into the Windows directory.
