I have been hacked - so I chose to change my router name and hide or NOT LIST it on the available network list.

My HP Laser Jet M15w Printer, is still trying to connect to the former router name (I found this out in the configuration report.

What can I do to connect?  or to change the router name to configure printer properly?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

To reconfigure the printer, follow the steps from the document HP Printers - No Connection after Router or Wi-Fi Settings Change.

Use the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button on your router to connect the printer to your wireless network.

  1. Place the printer near the Wi-Fi router.

  2. Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer.

  3. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button  for at least 5 seconds or until the light starts blinking. For Tango printers, press and hold the Wireless and Power buttons on the rear of the printer until the blue bar flashes.

  4. Within two minutes, press and hold the WPS button  on the router until the connection process begins.

  5. Wait for the light on the printer to stop blinking.

Additionally, refer to the document Connect to a Wireless HP Printer for help.

If you still have issues, use the guided troubleshooter Troubleshooting | Wireless Printing Center for instruction to isolate and resolve the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
