Hi @Muttjack,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet Plus 4152 to your wireless network. Let's go through a step-by-step process to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Step 1: Verify Network Details

  1. Check Wi-Fi Network: Ensure your Wi-Fi network is working correctly by connecting another device (like a phone or computer) to the network.
  2. Check Wi-Fi Password: Ensure you have the correct Wi-Fi network password.

Step 2: Restart Devices

  1. Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for 60 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Restart Router: Unplug your router/modem, wait for 60 seconds, and then plug it back in.

Step 3: Printer Setup Mode

  1. Restore Network Settings on Printer:
    • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button (the one with the antenna icon) and the Cancel button until the Power button starts flashing. This restores the network settings to their defaults.
  2. Activate Wireless Setup Mode:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking. This puts the printer in wireless setup mode, allowing it to be detected by the network.

Step 4: Connect the Printer to the Network

  1. Use HP Smart App:
    • Download the HP Smart App on your phone or computer from the app store or HP's website.
    • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer. The app will guide you through the process of connecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Step 5: Manual Wireless Setup (If HP Smart App Fails)

WPS Push Button Method:

  • On your router, press and hold the WPS button.
  • On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
  • Wait for the printer to connect to the network. The blue light should turn solid once connected.

WPS PIN Method:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Information button to print a Network Configuration Page.
  • Find the WPS PIN on the printed page.
  • Enter the WPS PIN into your router’s setup page to connect the printer.

Step 6: Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
    • Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. Use the HP Smart App or visit the HP website to check for and install any available firmware updates.

Step 7: Printer and Computer Connection

  1. Ensure Devices are on the Same Network: Make sure your computer or phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you are trying to connect your printer to.
  2. Disable VPN: If you're using a VPN, disable it temporarily as it might interfere with the setup process.

Step 8: Advanced Troubleshooting

  1. Check Router Settings: Ensure that the router is not blocking new devices from connecting.
  2. IP Address Conflict: Ensure there are no IP address conflicts on your network.
