Trying to set up my new DeskJet 2810e All-in-One printer. My computer is connected to a wireless network which uses enterprise level authentication (802.1x or WPA Enterprise) so I have a login for the network. This type of authentication is not supported by HP Smart app. I've tried adding the MAC address on as a listed device for my account but it still won't connect to the network.
It asks me to reconfigure the printer to work with this authentication but the error page doesn't explain how to do this. I've tried using an ethernet cable but can't see a port on my model. Any ideas?

Wifi direct is explained on page 11 of the User manual
this allows you to bypass the router and print directly to the printer.
However you have the E version of the 2810. I think that uses cloud plus and instant ink and possibly it needs to connect to the Internet not just to your computer
I downloaded the firmware update and I noticed it has the word enterprise inside the package possibly it will work with your network after the firmware update. This is just a guess based on what is shown below
You should be able to connect using Wi-fi direct and then download the firmware update
