HP Envy All in One7800
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I see this has been an issue with other HP’s.  My printer is less than 2 yrs. Old and I cannot find any support or fix for it.  I am done with HP.  I will not buy another HP product again.

@Asherylann, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

Kindly elaborate on the issue for assistance.

  • Do you get any errors?
  • Is the wireless blue light blinking or steady on the printer?

Print a wireless test page

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.

  3. Touch Network Configuration Page to print the page, which can be up to four pages long.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

I have done all of these things and more.  The wireless light is on solid.  I have: removed and reinstalled device multiple times, updated all drivers, rebooted computer, printer and modem several times plus things I can't even remember.  It annoys me that I have spent over a month with this.  I can get the printer to print but it will not scan from my computer and when I scan from the printer to email, the email will only go to my Apple device not my Surface Pro 7.  I have never had this issue before and I am done with HP.  Luckily I purchased extended warranty from Staples so I am sending it back for a refund and buying a different brand of printer.

If you are able to print, this is not a wireless issue at all. This issue has nothing to do with the wireless radio.

  • Are you using the HP Smart app to scan and check if it works?
  • Do you get any errors while trying to scan using the app?

For more info on scanning, refer to - How to scan with an HP printer

Again, if you are able to scan to email to the Apple device, but not the Surface, how is this an issue with the printer?

Kindly check the settings on the Surface.

I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region for further assistance.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

The wireless report says "More than one access point/wireless router has been found that matches your wireless network name.  If this is not intended, your HP printer may connect to the wrong wireless network.  To avoid this, change your wireless network name to be to unique.  If you change your network name, you will need to configure the SSID on all wireless devices to match your new network SSID."

I have no idea what this means or how to address it and personally, it sounds like a nightmare to me with any other devices I have.  I have lived here for 20+ years and I have never had to deal with something like this.  I have had this printer hooked up to this network for more than 2 years and this issue just happened.  Again, it is printing but when I try to scan from the HP app I get a message that says "scanning is currently unavailable".
