Hi @EricaZ1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your printer is having trouble connecting to your new Wi-Fi network and the wireless light blinks, then turns off. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Perform a full power reset
Turn the printer on and unplug the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.
Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power the printer on.

Restore network defaults on the printer
From the printer control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults.
This clears the old Wi-Fi settings so the printer can connect fresh.

Use the Wireless Setup Wizard again
On the printer, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard.
Select your new Wi-Fi network and carefully re-enter the password.

Check router compatibility
Make sure the router’s 2.4 GHz band is enabled.
Most HP printers cannot connect to 5 GHz–only networks.

Move the printer closer to the router
Place the printer within a few feet of the router during setup.
This helps prevent signal drops while connecting.

Temporarily disable advanced router security
In the router settings, temporarily turn off MAC filtering, Access Control, or WPA3.
Use WPA2-PSK during setup, then re-enable security afterward.

Check the Wi-Fi light status
A steady blue light means the printer is connected.
If it keeps blinking then turns off, the connection attempt is failing.

I hope this helps.
