HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Purchased this last fall, having continuous issues first with paper jams, then after dropping out of the "plan" continuous problems with no printing and especially with "Printer OFFLINE"  which it now has again. I am tired of contacting support on this and I am tired of reading so-called documents to fix it to do this and that and downloading the supposedly fixit program that should fix it, and using the virtual agent that fails.  NO other printer has this problem in my house, none ever have. No the problem is not my wireless.  Is there any PERMANENT fix or does this printer belong in the trash? Does HP even care? Does this really work with Windows?  One agents says to keep it plugged in all of the time. Did it.. still "Printer Offline" after 2-3 days anyway - next agent said well if you don't use it.. it sometimes does that..huh?!.  Another agent says to try unplugging it and replugging and sometimes it reconnects.. Nope... "Printer Offline".   I even last night kept it totally unplugged.. did not reconnect today.  Did the downloads, played games with instructions.  How many times am I supposed to create a port?  Thoroughly disgusted. Any advice from someone who actually knows what to do with this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,  I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks.
  • What is the distance between the router and the printer?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
