Hi @hazembt,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like your HP printer has a custom password set, and this is preventing you from connecting it to your wireless network or accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS). Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  1. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults:

    • On your HP printer, locate the "Reset" or "Restore" button. This is usually a small button that may require a paperclip to press.
    • Press and hold the reset button for a few seconds until the printer resets to its factory default settings.
    • After the reset, try to connect the printer to your wireless network again.
  2. Update Firmware:

    • Check if there is a firmware update available for your HP printer. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download the latest firmware.
    • Follow the instructions provided by HP to update the firmware.
  3. Wired Connection:

    • If possible, try connecting the printer to your network using a wired (Ethernet) connection. This may bypass the wireless configuration issue temporarily, allowing you to access the EWS and make necessary changes.
  4. Hard Reset:

    • Turn off the printer.
    • Disconnect the power cable from the printer and wait for about 30 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cable and turn on the printer.
    • Try connecting to the wireless network again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
