Hi @matyso,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the blue light on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer is still blinking after changing the router and updating wireless information, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
Reconfigure Wireless Settings:
- Access the printer's control panel and navigate to the wireless settings. Re-enter the new wireless network information, ensuring that the SSID and password are correct.
Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, find the "Setup" or "Settings" menu.
- Look for an option to reset network settings or restore default settings. This might vary depending on your printer model.
- After resetting, reconfigure the wireless settings with the updated information.
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure that the new router settings are correct and that the printer is within the wireless range of the router.
- Verify that the router is broadcasting on the correct frequency (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) that your printer supports.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP support website for your printer model and check if there are any firmware updates available. If so, download and install the latest firmware.
Remove and Re-add the Printer:
- On your computer, remove the printer from the list of devices and printers.
- Re-add the printer, selecting the updated wireless information.
Check for Interference:
- Ensure that there are no electronic devices or obstacles causing interference with the wireless signal between the printer and the router.
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):
- If your router supports WPS, you can try connecting the printer using the WPS button on both the router and the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
