HP ENVY Inspire 7958e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have tried everything at least twice. Been at this 8 hours over two days. HP support and MS support keep telling me for them to really help me I have to get back online. Talk about stupid. They talk about buttons and setups on the printer and the router that are not there. I have unplugged and re-plugged. I have put in serial numbers and pin numbers from the printer. They tell me to go find the instruction card that came with the printer 4 years ago and reset the wireless that way, like I'll find that after moving 2 times in three years. And no, I have not moved the router or the computer or the printer more than 6 feet from each other in the last 14 months (I can tell by the dust). Gone back to factory reset and when that's done I am asked to again push some button on the router that isn't there.

I have had a couple of pretty good storms come through here in the last couple of days, any chance I fried something. And just need to go get a new printer?

Hi @Broncho,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the persistent connectivity issues with your HP ENVY Inspire 7958e All-in-One Printer. Let's work through some steps to restore the Wi-Fi functionality.

Restore Network Settings

Since you've already performed a factory reset and power cycle, let's ensure the network settings are properly restored:

  1. Access Network Setup:
    • On the printer's control panel, tap the Setup icon.
    • Navigate to Network Setup.
  2. Restore Network Settings:
    • Select Restore Network Settings.
    • Confirm the action when prompted.

This should reset the network configurations and may bring back the Wi-Fi icon.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi

After restoring network settings:

  1. Wireless Setup Wizard:
    • Return to Network Setup.
    • Select Wireless Settings.
    • Choose Wireless Setup Wizard.

  2. Connect to Your Network:
    • From the list of available networks, select your Wi-Fi network.
    • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.

This process should re-establish the wireless connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
