Printer stopped connecting to wifi. will work via USB but need advice on how to fix

You need to reset the printer.  If it is an HP one I can help you.  On most printers, if you connect an ethernet cable or a USB cable then the wifi quits working.

 

Please provide the Product ID or exact model name for better assistance.
