Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Got a new gateway router last week.  All items work with it except for wireless printer.  Any suggestions?  Have tried many hours of troubleshooting including chatting with and calling HP and Xfinity, watching videos of others who have same issue and nothing seems to help.  I was told this is compatible with the system so it should have connected.  It workd with USB but then that defeats the purpose of being wireless.  Thanks for any suggestions! PS I have Windows 10 (not  32-bit).  And it is a desktop HP)

Hi Sandy - thank you for your help.  I did try the Page 29 information before with no luck.  It is going on two weeks.  The printer works by USB but not wireless.  I keep adding the IP address manually to see if that will work but nothing is recognized.  I am afraid to uninstall and reinstall as the last time Xfinity gave us a new router (last year) it said the printer was not compatible with the Windows I was using.  Now I am at Windows 10 and am afraid it will not work so maybe that is the issue?  Could the HP Deskjet 3000 not be compatible with the new router and the Windows 10?  Thank you again for your help!

This printer supports Windows 10 printer driver.

If your printer works fine with USB, you can convert the USB connection to Wireless connection.

Hi Sandy - I have tried many times all the solutions that HP has on their website including converting from USB to wireless and nothing works.  It seems there is a disconnect between the gateway and the wireless IP address maybe?   I was able to get an IP address but it wasn't recognized by the Gateway.  Since you said this printer is compatible with the HP 3000 J310,  do you think I should uninstall and install again?  I do have the original disk and I think HP has all the necessary software and drivers on lin...is that correct?  What if I uninstall and then cannot install again?  Any suggestions for that scenario?  Thank you.

Hi Sandy - I was doing a chat with Xfinity about the modem first and they asked if they were wondering if the printer has a faulty network card?  Is that possible?

Thank you!

A faulty network card is not possible.
