I changed wireless networks to Starlink and cant get my HP4252e printer to connect to the new network. I've tried pressing the cancel and wireless buttons but the power button does not continue to blink. It only flashes once. I have also tried HP Print and Scan doctor and it says it cannot communicate with the printer even though the printer is on. I also split the network into 5GHz and 2.4GHz but am unsure where to go from there. I am not very computer savey (lol), I know just enough to be dangerous. Please explain as to someone who doesn't know very much.
Thank you
Steph

Hi @Shiloh5,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
No worries, since you changed to Starlink, the printer just needs to be connected to the new Wi-Fi network. The HP DeskJet 4252e supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only, so you're on the right track by separating the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
Let's do this step by step:
Make sure your phone or computer is connected to the Starlink 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
Turn the printer on and make sure it is ready.
On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel (X) button together for about 5 seconds.
Release them when the power button starts blinking.
Wait a little longer. The blue wireless light should begin blinking continuously. This means the printer is ready to be set up on a new Wi-Fi network.
Open the HP app on your phone or computer and select Add Printer.
Follow the instructions to connect the printer to your Starlink 2.4 GHz network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
You mentioned that the power button only flashes once when you hold the buttons. If it still does not start blinking continuously, don't keep trying random button combinations.
Please let us know:
Does the blue wireless light blink at all?
Are you using the HP app on a phone or Windows computer?
When you press and hold Wireless + Cancel for 5 seconds, exactly which lights blink?
Once you tell us what the lights are doing, we can take the next step from there. HP specifically lists the DeskJet 4100/4200 series, including the 4252e, for this Wireless + Cancel setup procedure.
