I am unable to connect to wi-fi. I have a mac OS Golden gate 27.0.1. I have tried unplugging the printer, unplugging my modem and router and did the required steps of plugging in the modem, waiting for it to go online, plug in the router and wait for it to go online and then plug in and turn on the printer and still doesn't work. I have tried this several times. I run the diagnose and fix in the HP app and I get "Driver check issue not fixed"

Hello @Tmiller1984, Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that your HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer will not connect to Wi-Fi, even after restarting the printer, modem, and router several times. The HP app's Diagnose & Fix tool also reports “Driver check issue not fixed.”
Since restarting the network equipment has not helped, the next step is to reset the printer's wireless setup mode and reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network. The driver-check message may indicate a separate issue with the Mac's printer software, so we should also check whether macOS can detect the printer independently of the HP app.
Step 1: Reset the HP DeskJet 2652 wireless settings
- Turn on the printer and wait until it is ready.
- Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel (X) button together for approximately 3–5 seconds.
- Release the buttons and check whether the wireless light begins blinking, indicating that the printer is ready for wireless setup.
- The exact light pattern can vary depending on the printer's current state. If the wireless light does not begin blinking, avoid repeating random button combinations; consult the HP DeskJet 2650 series user guide for the correct procedure. HP DeskJet 2600 All-in-One series User Guide – [ENWW]
Step 2: Remove the existing printer entry from your Mac
- Removing the old printer entry allows you to add the printer again with a fresh connection.
- Open Apple menu > System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select the HP DeskJet 2652, if listed.
- Click Remove Printer and confirm.
- Restart your Mac.
- You do not need to reset the entire macOS printing system at this stage.
Step 3: Check local network access for the HP app
- If you are using the HP app to configure the printer, macOS must allow the app to discover devices on your local network.
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
- If the HP app is listed, make sure local network access is enabled.
- Confirm that your Mac is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.
- If your router broadcasts separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, check that the printer is being configured on a compatible network. The DeskJet 2652 uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
- You can leave Limit IP Address Tracking unchanged for now; disabling it is not a standard first step for resolving this printer connection issue.
Step 4: Set up the printer using the HP app
- Open the HP app on your Mac.
- Select Add Printer or the + option.
- Choose the option to set up a new printer, if available.
- Follow the prompts to select your Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
- Keep the printer near the router during setup to reduce the chance of a weak wireless signal interrupting the connection.
Step 5: Try adding the printer through macOS
- If the HP app still reports “Driver check issue not fixed,” check whether macOS can find the printer independently. HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax (the wording may vary by macOS version).
- Wait for available printers to appear.
- If the HP DeskJet 2652 appears, select it.
- If the Use menu offers AirPrint, select it and click Add.
- AirPrint can provide a way to print without relying on the HP app's printer driver installation. However, adding the printer this way will not necessarily resolve the underlying Wi-Fi setup problem; the printer must first be connected to the network.
Have a great day!
