HPdeskjet3755  not reading my wifi

Hi evelyn200,

Welcome to the HP Community! I am a new volunteer here participating in the HP Solve-a-thon, and I would love to help you get your HP DeskJet 3755 connected to your network.

When this specific printer cannot see or read a Wi-Fi network, it almost always comes down to one of two things: the printer's setup mode has timed out, or there is a frequency mismatch with your router.

Here are the best steps to get your printer back online:

1. Check Your Router Frequency (The 2.4 GHz Rule)

The HP DeskJet 3755 is a great little printer, but it only contains a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio. It cannot physically "see" or connect to 5 GHz networks.

  • If you have a modern dual-band router, ensure that your 2.4 GHz network band is enabled and broadcasting.

  • Make sure the device you are using to set up the printer (your phone or PC) is connected to that 2.4 GHz network during the setup process.

2. Restore Network Settings (Setup Mode)

If your printer has been powered on for a while without connecting, its wireless setup mode automatically goes to sleep and needs to be woken up.

  • Ensure the printer is powered on.

  • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button (the one with the red 'X') at the same time for about 3 to 5 seconds.

  • Release the buttons when the Power button starts flashing.

  • After a moment, the blue Wireless light will start blinking. This means the printer is back in "Setup Mode" and is actively searching for a connection.

3. Connect via the HP Smart App

Once the blue wireless light is blinking, you have about two hours to complete the connection.

  • Open the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer. (If you don't have it, you can download it from your app store or from 123.hp.com).

  • Click the Plus sign (+) or Add Printer in the app.

  • The app should now easily discover your DeskJet 3755. Follow the on-screen prompts, and the app will automatically pass your Wi-Fi password over to the printer.

Please let the community know if this gets your printer communicating with your Wi-Fi again! Because I am a new volunteer, I am very eager to learn if these steps successfully resolve your issue. We are here to help!
