cannot install Smart Tank 580 on Windows 8.1

Thankyou Rachel 571 for your help on my 415 printer I did all and more . Recovered a little but colours bad. Eventually I threw it out. Apparantly the ink cartridges have a time life limit.

I purchased a Smart Tank 580 but these days they do not come with software on a CD. My PC is Windows 8.1.

Cannot download software from 123hp.com . Tried alternatives from Denistec and almost wrecked my PC with hiden downloads of antivirus, one called 360. Very Dangerous.  I have installed on my partners Pc windows 10

but not very good. Question? Nowhere in the Hp setup and reference guide is the Bluetooth option mentioned. No install info.

We can see it on Bluetooth available devices but no codes help . 

No mention of USB cable installation. On the box it states cable not included. I have one. Please can anyone help me with software to install the 580 on my pc if only with the usb cable or Bluetooth . Any help would be appreciated.

• Search for the HP Smart Tank 580 model.
• If Windows 8.1 is not listed, try downloading drivers for Windows 10 and running them in compatibility mode:

  • Choose Windows 8.
  • Click OK and run the installer.

2. Install the Printer Using a USB Cable

• Connect the printer to your PC using a USB cable.
