Hello @gort21
Assume you're trying to upload the book using the Kindle app on Windows:

If your new book won’t upload to Kindle, try these steps:

  1. Check file format – Kindle Direct Publishing only accepts EPUB, DOCX, KPF, or PDF (limited).

  2. Remove special characters from the file name (no #, %, &, etc.).

  3. Check file size – very large images can block uploads; compress if needed.

  4. Try a different browser or clear cache/cookies.

  5. Upload through Kindle Create to generate a KPF file, then upload that.

  6. Disable VPN/firewall temporarily if you're using one.

If it still fails, Amazon’s KDP Help page has a “Contact Us” option—they can check the file on their side.

Hope this helps!
