cant install update on my windows 11 laptop

in the windows update section of my windows 11 laptop, the hp printer update wont install. it just keeps saying retry, and the install error. the error code is 0x800f020b. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks

Uninstall the current driver, if any as follows

run the app "printui /s" from the admin command prompt.  Select "driver" find the printer(s) and remove.

Install the full feature driver

Did you install the firmware update of Aug 2023?

note that any ink cartridges that are not HP may no longer work so be advised of the possible problem.

hi there, thanks for your reply, when i tried to uninstall the drivers it comes up with a box saying Unable to remove my HP printer drivers.

The specified printer driver is currently in use.

Any ideas on what to do now?

If there is a printer icon in the task bar, click on it and empty any documents in the queue.  There is either something stuck in the queue or and/or you need to reboot to break the connection. Rebooting with something still in the print queue gets immediately rescheduled and the printer will be stuck again.
