I understand your HP DeskJet 2852e has the wrong IP address and you need to change it. Let’s go through steps to fix this.

 

Use the printer control panel

On the printer, go to Wireless icon → Settings → Network Settings → Wireless Settings → IP Address (or similar, depending on your model).

Choose Manual IP or Edit IP and enter the correct numbers.

Use HP Smart app

Open HP Smart on your phone or computer → Printer Settings → Advanced Settings → Network/Ports → TCP/IP.

Update the IP address manually to the correct one and save.

Restart the printer

Turn the printer off and on after changing the IP.

This ensures the printer uses the new address on the network.

Update the printer on your computer

On your PC or Mac, go to Printers & Scanners and remove the old printer entry.

Add the printer again using the new IP address.

Optional: Use DHCP

If you’re unsure about a static IP, you can select Automatic / DHCP in the printer settings.

The router will assign a valid IP automatically, preventing future conflicts.
