I had to change my wifi password on xfinity router and now I need to change it on my printer so it can find it but I have no idea how. My printer is an HP Deskjet 2755e. Can I do it from my Mac?

Hi @earthie,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can update the Wi-Fi password on your HP Deskjet 2755e printer from your Mac. Here's a general guide on how you might do this.
Connect your Mac to the new Wi-Fi network: Ensure that your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that you want your printer to connect to.
Find your printer's IP address:
- On your Mac, go to the "Apple menu" and select "System Preferences."
- Choose "Printers & Scanners" or "Print & Fax."
- Select your HP Deskjet 2755e printer from the list.
- Look for the printer's IP address. It might be displayed in the printer information.
Access the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Open a web browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.).
- Enter the printer's IP address in the address bar and press Enter.
Log in to the EWS:
- If prompted, log in. The default username and password are usually both "admin." However, you might need to refer to your printer's manual for the correct credentials.
Navigate to the Wireless settings:
- Once logged in, look for the "Network" or "Wireless" section.
- You should find an option to update or change the Wi-Fi settings.
Update Wi-Fi settings:
- Locate the Wi-Fi settings or similar option and update the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password with the new ones.
- Save or apply the changes.
Reconnect your printer:
- After updating the Wi-Fi settings on your printer, it may take a moment for the changes to take effect.
- On your Mac, go back to "Printers & Scanners" in System Preferences.
- Remove the old printer entry if it's still listed and add the printer again by clicking the "+" button and selecting your HP Deskjet 2755e from the list.
This process might vary slightly depending on your printer's firmware and the specific options available in the Embedded Web Server.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
