Hi @STEVE904,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reconnect your HP DeskJet 4120e All-in-One Printer to a new Wi-Fi network, follow these steps.
Using HP Smart App (Recommended)
Download the HP Smart App on your smartphone, tablet, or computer (if not already installed).
- Available for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS.
Connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network that you want the printer to join.
Open the HP Smart App and log in to your HP account (or create one if you don't have one).
Reset the printer’s network settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer until the Power button starts blinking.
- This will reset the Wi-Fi settings.
Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi:
- In the HP Smart App, click on the "+" icon to add a printer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
Complete the setup:
- Once the printer is connected to the new network, test the connection by printing a test page.
Using WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)
Press the WPS button on your router.
Activate WPS on the printer:
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for 3 seconds.
- The wireless light should start blinking.
Wait for connection:
- After a minute or two, the printer should connect to the new Wi-Fi network automatically.
Using a USB Cable
Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
Open the HP Printer Software:
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest driver for the HP DeskJet 4120e if needed.
- Use the software to change the Wi-Fi network under "Printer Setup" > "Network Setup."
After following these steps, your printer should be connected to the new Wi-Fi network and ready for use.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
