Hi @mlangfus,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP DeskJet 4155e printer to your iPhone 14 hotspot, follow these steps:
Prepare Your Printer:
- Make sure your HP DeskJet 4155e printer is turned on and ready.
- Ensure that the wireless feature on the printer is enabled.
Enable Personal Hotspot on iPhone 14:
- On your iPhone 14, go to Settings.
- Tap on Personal Hotspot.
- Turn on the Personal Hotspot toggle switch. Make note of the Wi-Fi password displayed here, as you will need it later.
Connect Printer to iPhone Hotspot:
- On your HP DeskJet 4155e printer, navigate through the control panel or display to find the Wi-Fi setup or wireless settings menu.
- Look for an option like Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). The exact wording may vary slightly depending on your printer model.
- Select the option to connect to a new network.
- Your printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. When it finds your iPhone's hotspot network (which will appear in the list of available networks), select it.
- You will be prompted to enter the Wi-Fi password for the hotspot. Enter the password you noted down from your iPhone's Personal Hotspot settings.
Complete the Connection:
- After entering the password, the printer will attempt to connect to your iPhone's hotspot.
- Once connected successfully, your printer should display confirmation on its screen or control panel.
- You may also see a confirmation on your iPhone that a device (your printer) has connected to the hotspot.
Test the Connection:
- To ensure the connection is working, try printing a test page or document from your iPhone. Open any document or photo, tap the Share button, then tap Print. Your printer should now appear as an available printer option.
