Hi @JES1966,

I understand your printer has lost its Wi-Fi connection and the wireless light is flashing instead of staying solid. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Confirm what the flashing Wi-Fi light means
A blinking blue wireless light indicates the printer is not connected and is in setup mode.
This means it needs to be reconnected to your Wi-Fi network.

Restart the printer and router
Turn off the printer and unplug the router for 60 seconds.
Power the router back on first, wait until Wi-Fi is stable, then turn the printer back on.

Reset the printer’s network settings
Restore wireless or network defaults from the printer control panel (button combination varies by model).
This clears old or corrupted Wi-Fi details that can prevent reconnection.

Put the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode
Ensure the wireless light is blinking blue.
If it is not blinking, enable setup mode again using the wireless reset option.

Reconnect using the HP Smart app
Open HP Smart on your phone or computer that is already connected to Wi-Fi.
Select Add Printer or Set up a new printer and follow the on-screen steps.

Check Wi-Fi network compatibility
Make sure your router is using a 2.4 GHz network, as many printers do not support 5 GHz.
If your router uses a combined network name, temporarily separate the bands during setup.

Move the printer closer to the router
Weak signal strength can cause the connection to drop repeatedly.
Keep the printer within a few feet of the router during setup.

Temporarily disable VPN or security software
VPNs and strict firewall settings can block printer discovery.
Turn them off briefly while reconnecting, then re-enable afterward.

Print a wireless network test report
Print the network or wireless report from the printer control panel.
This helps confirm whether the printer is detecting the network or failing to authenticate.

I hope this helps.
