Hi @user2232
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
I understand you're trying to connect your printer to your computer, and although the printer is connected to Wi-Fi, you're seeing a "Driver is unavailable" message. I'll be glad to help.
To better understand the situation, could you kindly share:
- The exact HP printer model number.
- Is the printer visible under Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners?
- Are you able to print from other devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network?
In the meantime, kindly try the following steps:
- Restart your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router.
- Open Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners, select the printer, and remove it from the device list.
- Download and install the latest full-feature driver package for your printer from the official HP Support website:
- Ensure the Print Spooler service is running:
- Press Windows + R
- Type services.msc
- Locate Print Spooler
- If it is stopped, start it and set the startup type to Automatic
- If the printer was added previously, add it again using its IP address:
- Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer.
- Note the printer's IP address.
- Go to Printers & Scanners > Add Device > Add Manually > Add printer using TCP/IP address.

The "Driver is unavailable" message typically means Windows is unable to communicate properly with the printer driver installed on the computer. This can happen if the driver is missing, corrupted, incompatible with a recent Windows update, or if Windows was unable to complete the printer installation successfully.
I hope this helps.
