Hi @kpe326,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Since you changed your Wi-Fi provider on the HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer, you do not need to perform a full factory reset. The correct first step is to restore the printer to Wi-Fi setup mode, then reconnect it to the new network using the HP app.

Restore the Wi-Fi connection
The HP ENVY 6055e does not have a touchscreen menu for entering the new network details. HP's instructions for the ENVY 6000/6000e series use the Wireless button on the back of the printer.

  1. Make sure the printer is turned on.
  2. On the back of the printer, locate the Wireless button.
Example of pressing the Wireless button for five seconds
  3. Press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds.
  4. Release the button.
  5. Wait for the printer's Status light to turn purple. This indicates that the printer has entered Wi-Fi setup mode.

Remove and re-add the printer in the HP app
Once the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode:

  1. Make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to your new Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the HP app.
  3. Remove the existing printer entry if it is still associated with the previous network.
  4. Select Add Printer and choose your HP ENVY 6055e when it appears.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.

HP's setup page for this exact model recommends using the HP app to connect and set up the printer.

Please complete the Wi-Fi setup within two hours of restoring Wi-Fi setup mode, as specified in HP's instructions.

This should allow you to move the printer from the old Wi-Fi connection to the new provider without performing an unnecessary factory reset.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
