I have HP deskjet 2630 printer 

On the control panel, the light with signal i is always ON 

It is not connecting to wifi 

On the display, there is an icon (just under where wifi status bar is supposed to be) that looks like a drop of ink on top of a mail box 

what does that mean  

Need help !

so the issue was with the WPS setting on router 

accidentally it was off 

so switching that on did the trick 

 

the icon with a mail box and a ink drop on top is for printer's connection to 'instant ink' 

 

when the wifi connection resumed, that icon also disappeared
