Hi @mgcris,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The HP DeskJet Plus 4122 does not support Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax).** According to HP’s product specifications, the DeskJet 4122 only includes: Wi‑Fi 802.11a/b/g/n (also known as Wi‑Fi 4)
This means the printer cannot use Wi‑Fi 6 features such as higher throughput, OFDMA, improved latency, or 6GHz bands.

What This Means for Your Setup

Even though it doesn’t support Wi‑Fi 6, your printer will still work perfectly with a Wi‑Fi 6 router.

Here’s how:

✔️ Wi‑Fi 6 routers are backwards‑compatible

Your router will automatically allow the printer to connect using the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz 802.11n network.

✔️ Just avoid 6 GHz or Wi‑Fi 6‑only bands

The printer cannot see 6 GHz SSIDs (Wi‑Fi 6E) because it does not support 802.11ax.

If your router has separate networks (example: “Home‑2.4G”, “Home‑5G”, “Home‑6G”): Connect the printer to 2.4 GHz

This is the most stable band for HP DeskJet models.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
