envy 5000
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My envy 5000 series printer ( year and a half old with no previous problems) has suddenly stopped working , copies come out as random ink splodges over the paper or less random and recognisable . I have run scan doctor. Told to install update for printer and I just  get Installation error...Call to DriverPackageUninstallreturned error 5 for package 'c'Windows system 32\DriverStore\File repository\hpwia_en5000.inf_amd64_c0edb47ae03ba484\hpwia_en5000.inf'. A caller of \driverPackageInstall must be a member of te Administrators group to install a Driver Package.

I got a pc guy to check all out everything and they couldnt findthe reason for the problems. He suggested we check that we don't have dud ink carteridges..so I have sent for replacements. However tonight, my son who didnt know the history, came in and did a photocopy and it worked just fine..??   Anyone suggest what i could do??
