Hi @gmg262

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw is stuck in offline mode despite troubleshooting indicating it's functioning fine.

Here are some steps to bring your printer back online:

1. Restart Printer and Laptop

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your laptop and reconnect the printer to the power source.
  • Turn the printer back on and check its status.

2. Check Printer Settings

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers on your laptop.
  • Right-click your printer and select See What's Printing.
  • In the print queue window, click Printer and ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

3. Set Printer as Default

  • In Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and select Set as Default Printer.
  • This ensures your laptop prioritizes the correct printer.

4. Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer.
  • Updated drivers can resolve compatibility issues and improve functionality.

5. Check Network Connection

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
  • If using a wired connection, check that the cable is securely plugged in.

6. Restart Print Spooler Service

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Locate Print Spooler in the list, right-click it, and select Restart.

7. Perform a Factory Reset

  • Reset the printer to factory settings:
    • Access the printer's control panel or use the HP Smart App.
    • Navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
