Hi @dedeLocke ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to regain access to your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 printer's network and resume printing, you can reset the network settings on the printer, which will also reset the Wi-Fi Direct password to the default. Here’s how to do it:
Reset Network Settings on the HP OfficeJet Pro 8030
Turn on the Printer: Make sure your printer is powered on.
Access the Control Panel:
- On the printer’s control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard.
Go to Setup:
- Tap the Setup icon (gear icon) on the dashboard.
Navigate to Network Settings:
- Scroll down and select Network.
Restore Network Settings:
- Look for an option that says Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings and select it.
- Confirm the reset when prompted.
After Resetting
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- After resetting, you'll need to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. Go back to the Network menu and choose Wireless Setup Wizard to find your Wi-Fi network and enter the Wi-Fi password.
Find the New Password:
- The default Wi-Fi Direct password for your printer should now be something like “12345678” (check your printer's user guide for the exact default if it doesn't work).
Print Again:
- Once the printer is reconnected to your Wi-Fi, try sending the print job again from your phone.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
