To check if your printer and your phone are connected to the same network, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Check Network Settings on Printer
Printer Display Panel:
- On your printer’s control panel, navigate to the network or wireless settings menu. This can vary depending on your printer model.
- Look for an option that shows the current network connection. It should display the name (SSID) of the network it is connected to.
Print Network Configuration Page:
- Many printers allow you to print a network configuration or status page directly from the printer’s control panel.
- Look for an option such as "Network Settings," "Network Status," or "Print Network Configuration" in the printer’s menu.
- Once printed, this page will show details about the printer’s network settings, including the IP address, subnet mask, and the name of the network (SSID) it is connected to.
Method 2: Check Network Settings on Phone
Wi-Fi Settings:
- Open the Wi-Fi settings on your phone.
- Look for the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network that your phone is currently connected to.
Compare with Printer’s Network:
- Compare the name (SSID) of the Wi-Fi network displayed on your phone with the one shown on the printer’s network configuration page.
- Ensure that both the phone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. They should display the same network name.
