Hi @kingofclubs77,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for asking. Changing the network name (SSID) that your HP printer connects to or updating it after switching routers is a common task. Here's how to do it step-by-step.

Option 1: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode

This lets you reconnect the printer to a new network name:

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds.
  3. Wait until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking blue. This means it's in setup mode.

Option 2: Use HP Smart App to Reconnect

  1. Open the HP Smart App on your PC or mobile.
  2. Tap “+ Add Printer” or select your existing printer.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect to the new Wi-Fi network name.
  4. Enter the new Wi-Fi password when prompted.

💡 Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to join.
