I want to connect my Mac to the HP Laserjet Pro 102w directly by ethernet cable and make the printer available for the other household devices by wifi. How do I go about making that work?

Hi,

You cannot make this work, the printer does not offer any  Ethernet connectivity, only a Wireless network connection, or a direct USB cable connection to a computer.

If you may refer to a USB cable connection from the printer to the Mac, this can be done with a USB cable, regardless the printer should be connected to the wireless network to allow printing from other devices.
