@HikeandBike, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To connect your HP Envy 5055 printer to your PC wirelessly, follow these steps:

Ensure Printer is Powered On:

  • Make sure your printer is powered on and nearby. The printer should be in a ready state.

Connect to Wi-Fi Network:

  • On the printer, tap the Wi-Fi icon to access the wireless settings menu.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard. This will search for available wireless networks.
  • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted.

Install Printer Software:

  • Insert the Printer Software CD that came with your HP Envy 5055 printer into your PC's CD drive, or download the software from the HP website.
  • Run the setup program. This can usually be found in "My Computer" or "This PC" once the CD is inserted.

Select Wireless Connection:

  • During the software installation, you will be prompted to choose a connection type. Select Wireless as the connection option.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the wireless installation.

Add the Printer on Your Computer:

  • Open Control Panel on your PC.
  • Navigate to Devices and Printers.
  • Click Add a printer.
  • Select the HP Envy 5055 from the list of available printers.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the printer installation.

Check Connectivity:

  • You can print a test page to ensure the printer is correctly connected to your wireless network and functioning properly with your PC.
