@menzony, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

To assist you better, what is the issue with the printer?

Proxy server settings are automatically controlled by the router. We do not have to alter it.

  1. Search Windows for internet, and then click Internet Options.
  2. In the Internet Properties window, click the Connections tab.
  3. If necessary, select your network, and then click Settings to view the proxy settings.
  4. Example of the Internet proxy settings in Windows
  5. Under Proxy server, locate and write down the values in the Address and Port fields.
  6. Open the Advanced Settings (EWS) in the HP Smart app or type the printer IP address into a web browser address bar.
  7. From the EWS, click the Web Services tab, and then click Proxy Settings.
  8. Example of clicking Proxy Settings on the Web Services tab in the EWS
  9. Enter the address and port values, and then click Apply.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
