Product: LASERJET COLOR M375NW
I am trying to figure out how to KEEP https enforcement enabled on a HP color laserjet MFP M375nw and still access it on a windows 11 wired network. Many reboots and factory reset has been completed.
So everything is fully updated (except maybe firmware) but every time I try to enable HTTPS enforcement on the above printer, in both google chrome and edge I cannot access the printer via webpage, I just get error "
This site can’t provide a secure connection
10.0.0.x uses an unsupported protocol.
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH"
If i disable it (via printer touchscreen), i can access fine, but I want the additional security...Coming from an IT background I have ofc tried the basics and advanced stuff but still stumped, cleared cache. cleared SSL state and have reset printer to factory defaults, also tried disabling the chrome flag chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost but i can't even find that flag in chrome version 138.0.7204.169.
As i remember it in the past when the HTTPS enforcement was enabled with a self signed or expired certificate you could just click "advanced" and "continue to this site anyway".... If I know the IP is safe why or what is preventing me from using this option?
(note: i do own the product but the HP site wont show the printer in the "select from my products dropdown" using both the autodetect method (it finds it. but wont add to mine) or also by manually adding the serial number...the HP site sees it as an invalid serial when attempting manual add.)

ANY ideas?
