Remove USB Cable: Although you have connected the printer using a USB cable, HP recommends completing the initial setup using the HP Smart app and a wireless connection to access all available printer features.

Download HP Smart App: Visit 123.hp.com to download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.

Connect Printer Wirelessly:

• Open the HP Smart app.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new printer.
• Ensure your printer is powered on and in a ready state. Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer to enable wireless capabilities if not already enabled.

Firmware Update:

• While your Automatic Firmware update is off, it is advisable to update your printer's firmware to ensure it operates correctly and has the latest features. This can be managed from the HP Smart app once the setup is complete.

HP Smart App Features: After setting up, you can use the HP Smart app to manage printer settings, check printer status, print reports, and perform maintenance tasks.
