Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended

I connected the printer to the home network (wireless). The computer shows that it is connected and online both in Windows and HP Smart, and I also updated the printer's software.

When I print test or information pages directly from the printer's screen, it prints successfully, but it does not respond to print commands from the computer, whether from Office applications or HP Smart.

What should I do?

@yotam_s,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Printer Status:

  • Go to Printers & Scanners in Windows.
  • Make sure your printer is set as the default and is online (not offline).

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off and on the printer.
  • Restart your computer.

Check Printer’s Wi-Fi Connection:

  • On the printer, make sure it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi as your computer.

Remove and Re-add Printer:

  • Remove the printer in Printers & Scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or Scanner to add it again.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s website and run it.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager, right-click your printer, and select Update Driver.
  • If that doesn’t work, reinstall the latest drivers from HP’s website.

Check Firewall/Antivirus:

  • Temporarily turn off your firewall or antivirus and see if it fixes the issue.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Go to Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and cancel any stuck print jobs.
