Hi @BK1931,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2800 series printer was working and now print jobs are sitting in the queue, follow these steps to troubleshoot.

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and has no error lights flashing. Check the printer’s control panel for any error messages or blinking lights.

Printer Connection:

  • Confirm that the printer is still connected to the Wi-Fi network. If your network has changed, you'll need to reconnect the printer to the correct network.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your computer as well to ensure any stalled processes are reset.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Go to your computer’s printer settings and open the print queue for your device.
  • Cancel any stalled print jobs and attempt to print a new document.

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility, which can diagnose and resolve many common printing issues automatically.

Check Printer Software:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download and install the latest drivers from HP’s website by selecting your printer model.

Firewall/Security Software:

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or security software that might be blocking communication between your computer and the printer. Remember to re-enable it afterwards.

Print a Network Configuration Page:

  • Print a network configuration page from the printer to make sure it’s connected to the correct network.
  • Check for any issues indicated on this page.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, consider resetting your networking equipment (router/modem) and testing the printer on another device to verify if it’s a network problem or a specific device issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
