hp envoy pro 6400 won't connect to new wifi/modem

HP Recommended
envoy pro 6400
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

Purchased a new wifi/modem yesterday and now my printer will not connect to it.  What do I do?  I've tried all the troubleshooting locations on the HP website to no avail.

Try following below steps to restore the network defaults and then reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app:

If you fail to complete the task, I would also suggest restoring the factory defaults for the printer and then try again to reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app:

Restoring the factory defaults is described in page 109 of its manual:

this is what I did...
Press Info button on printer to print default IP address to connect to from Phone/Tablet Internet browser

Connect to the printer from my phone on same wireless network*; to to this use your phone's internet browser (I use Dolphin, but Chrome or any Chromium browser should work), address is on the print-out IP Address

Choose Network and login to your home Local area Network (LAN) by your knowing SSID name (wireless network name) & passphrase... Once connected you've proven you "can" connect

I setup reserved IP on the router, this is "advisable, but not required, makes it easy for devices to find the printer always at the same IP address), on my LAN I use 10.9.14.nn as my wireless IP range, anything (dot) .200 & above are printers (yes I test printed a lot in the past as part of my work-from home programming data-aware forms) In my netgear router, that was Advanced, LAN Setup, Address reservation, enter an IP address (again I have a set range 10.9.14.nn that is NOT the router out-of-the-box default)... So, I set in the router a reserved IP for the printer, entered the Hardware MAC address (it will add colons e.g. 35:g5... ), The printer MAC can be found when connected to the printer on phone Network Summary tab. or printing the HP Network Configuration page from my phone, then after applying that change in the router, and on my phone I refreshed get kicked (expected) out (IP has changed) and then go back in on the router assigned IP and now can see connected to this IP (assigned by the router 🙂 ) and can print/scan etc from the phone, but for me not my PC*

*Network/PC, should be same name; on PC My no printing caused by being on company VPN, once disconnected from company VPN, viola the printer works from the PC. So the pain for me is getting my company to allow local traffic to my router's MAC address (different from printer's).
